Pace and elevation analysis
Cyner analyzes the pace and elevation profile of each route to give you a complete picture of your actual performance adjusted for terrain.
Grade Adjusted Pace (GAP)
Grade Adjusted Pace (GAP) normalizes your pace considering slopes. Running 1 km uphill at the same effort as on flat ground produces a slower pace. GAP tells you what your equivalent pace would be on flat terrain.
How to read the elevation analysis
• Elevation gained (↑): Total meters of climbing.
• Elevation lost (↓): Total meters of descent.
• Elevation profile: Route chart with pace per segment overlaid.
• Hardest segments: The 3 steepest sections of the route.
Why elevation analysis matters
Without elevation adjustment, comparing trail runs with city runs makes no sense. GAP analysis lets you compare real effort across any type of route.
